Nissan GT-R AMS Alpha 12+ with 1,700 bhp hits 237.5 mph [video]

                                                  GTR R35 0-62 mph in 2.99 seconds

A Nissan GT-R AMS Alpha 12+ was capable of reaching an impressive top speed of 237.5 mph (382.16 km/h).
AMS Performance launched the Alpha 12 upgrade kit for the Nissan GT-R back in 2011 which increased output to 1,309 bhp (976 kW). The aftermarket package evolved into Alpha 12+ and brought along a horsepower bump to an incredible 1,700 bhp (1,267 kW).
It recently became the fastest GT-R in the world achieving a top speed of 237.5 mph (382 km/h). The heavily modified Japanese supercar needed just 2.99 seconds to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) and performed the 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) run in 6.5 seconds. In just 12.37 seconds the GT-R AMS Alpha 12+ was already at 186 mph (300 km/h).
It's also the fastest GT-R ever to complete the one-mile run as it was done in just 22.538 seconds. Regarding the 1/4 mile run, the AMS Alpha 12+ needed only 9.447 seconds at 161.62 mph (260.11 km/h).
The attached video makes cars such as the Porsche 911 GT2 4WD 9ff (1,100 bhp), Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Hennessey (760 bhp) and BMW M3 ESS VT2 (750 bhp) look slow even though these are anything but that.
