Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 N24 Schulze Motorsport in Gran Turismo 6 12.6.2013

Players can compete in the GT Academy competition

Sony has announced plans to release a demo version of Gran Turismo 6 on July 2nd.
The demo is being released as part of the GT Academy competition which offers contestants a chance to get behind the wheel of a real race car. Players will compete for the fastest qualifying times to advance to the National Finals where they’ll battle for a spot at the Silverstone race camp. Qualifications start on July 2nd and end on July 28th at 3:59 p.m. PST.
Even if you're not interested in the GT Academy, the demo will allow you to test out Gran Turismo 6 before it is launched later this year. The demo will be relatively limited but include several Nissan models like the Leaf, GT-R and 370Z.
According to Asad Qizilbash, senior director of product marketing at Sony Computer Entertainment America, “The PlayStation community has proven time and time again that Gran Turismo’s racing mechanics translate to the real world of race car driving, with racers who first cut their teeth racing in Gran Turismo now competing on the world stage. We encourage gamers of all skill levels to enter the contest, not just to be among the first to play Gran Turismo 6, but also for a chance to turn their driving passion into a career in the race world.”
